LeBron Made the Right Move Going to Miami...

...but NBA fans can't handle it.
In a time of record levels of greed and excess among our professional athletes, how is it that a player of any sport can choose less money and a better chance to win over more money and zero chance to win, and be criticized for it?  Wait, what?
If LeBron would have stayed in Cleveland, he likely would have spent the next 10 years frustrated and ringless.  The Cavs are a miserable franchise, and this is becoming more and more obvious.  LeBron would have never won in Cleveland.  Nobody would have.  Had he stayed, he would have been criticized for only caring about the money and not caring about a chance at a championship.  His legacy would have been that of greedy, ringless fraud, using Cleveland for financial gain and unable to deliver a title.
Others have noted that Jordan would have never joined Bird, Bird would have never joined Magic, etc. so therefore LeBron is a spineless loser.  This is not a fair comparison.  The players listed before already had a championship caliber team in place before their rivalries developed.  LeBron and Bosh did not.  If LeBron suddenly requests a trade to the Celtics this season, then the criticism would be fair, but him joining up with an old friend in an attempt to knock off the Celtics and take home a banner simply shows his desire to compete and succeed at the highest level, nothing else.
When Boston assembled their Big 3, nobody batted an eyelash.  In fact, the Boston Three Party was celebrated and revered as if they had become basketball's version of America's Team.  Why did things play out differently for LeBron and Co?  Greatness is polarizing.  You either love it or you hate it.  This society has a way of elevating and honoring our greatest young talent and then finding any way we can to bring them down.

LeBron Made the Right Move Going to Miami...

You make good points and I agree with your stance overall. Another thing lost in all this Anti-LeBron-Ness is what a weasel Dwayne Wade is. No one seems to care that he's been playing grab-ass with Lebron and Bosh for years and that he likely dogged it in the playoffs at times because he had this Big 3 planned.
